The Program

Is the unconscious a natural science and moral order phenomenon?
Is the Aristotelian 'perfect universe', the unit of the social sciences?
Can behavior become an exact science, indeed the Moral Science?

A new activity in town, four lectures delivered by Dr. Levis, each followed by the guided tour of one of the four exhibits
of the Museum of the Creative Process and a gourmet dinner at the inn. In this series of four lectures Dr.
Levis is presenting new information on the unconscious organization of the
thought process as a natural science and moral order phenomenon, the
holistic unit of the social sciences. We know this process as the plot of
stories and the moral of stories; now we regard it as the scientific unit
conflict resolution mechanism, transforming behavior into the Science of Conflict Resolution.
.This new science has the clear constructs and formulas of logic and physics.
.The unit process is qualifiable; four personality types are the diagnostic
categories of wellness predictive of behaviors, emotions and of pathology.
.The unit entity is measurable. A self assessment instrument taps creativity for self discovery and self help.
.The unit process is a moral order phenomenon. It consists of three formal
operations that transform conflicts to resolutions, the universal moral
values; they stem from the unconscious and are independent of religious revelation.
Art becomes the object of the scientific study of behavior and following
each lecture Dr Levis will conduct the guided tour of an art exhibit
confirming the premises advanced in the four lectures. The exhibits
demonstrate the natural science and moral order phenomena of the unit entity
of the Moral Science. Science completes the task of religions by clarifying
the nature of morality as the conflict resolution process. Science signifies
moral consensus on values and the civil right for all to know about behavior
and religions, emotional and moral literacy and to learn the skills of
optimal power management. A concise program of emotional education
'Creativity and Power Management' combines knowledge on behavior, personal
insights and moral values.

The 1stLecture is on paradigm shifts from art to science, from the content
of stories to the universal plot of stories, followed by the guided tour of
the Sculptural Trail through the history of religion making us conscious of the unconscious.
The 2nd lecture is on the scientific dimensions of symbolic languages, the
scientific interpretation of metaphors, followed by the guided tour of the Gorski Retrospective.
The 3d lecture is on Creativity and Power Management, a concise program of
emotional education, followed by the guided tour of the Murals of the Sanctuary.
The 4th lecture is on the integration of the disciplines of the social
sciences followed by the tour of the study of the metaphors of the Wizard of Oz.

My story is that of a Yale trained psychiatrist from Athens, Greece, who
acquired the Wilburton Inn, then the Teleion Holon Holistic Retreat to share
my findings on a major scientific breakthrough, the bridging of art to
science. In 87 upon buying the inn I incorporated it as the Art to Science
Inc, and installed on its grounds four art exhibits, the Museum of the
Creative Process, to demonstrate the nature of the creative process as the
scientific object of analysis of psychology and morality, as the unit of the
social sciences, as the integrative paradigm making behavior into the exact Moral Science.
Twenty years later four exhibits confirm the discovery that the thought
process has a distinct structure and function: a six part dramatic structure
leading predictably to a moral end, conflict resolution. The exhibits
illustrate the universal mechanism consisting of a distinct path, six steps
connected by three formal operations and validate that this is a
circumscribed phenomenon, the mental oscillation comparable to the harmonic
of the pendulum. They clarify the difference between mind and machine in
that the mental oscillation stops upon the third cycle as a conflict finds
its resolution reflecting that the process represents energy transformed
from chaos to order, and that this coincides with a change of attitude. The
conflict resolution process, the unit of moral order, represents the
unconscious adaptive response to stress as the unit of the social sciences.
The exhibits of the museum present this unit process as cycles of conflict
resolution; each exhibit consisting of several cycles, progressively
elevating our awareness of the unit order into that of the integrative
paradigm. The four exhibits demonstrate and validate the mental oscillation
as the predictable and measurable organization of ideas. The Sculptural
Trail, retraces the history of religion as five cycles of conflict
resolution stories and paradigm shifts: a fairy tale, the Epics of the
Goddess, the Scriptures of the One God, the Bible as abstract art, and our
metaphors, all reflect conflict resolution as a progression in abstractions.
The Gorski Retrospective organizes the lifetime works of an artist into five
cycles of personal conflict resolutions improving the artist's capacity to
deal with adversity. The Sanctuary of Wisdom features the Metaphoria Murals
presents examples of the formal interpretation of personal metaphors for
self discovery; the systematic analysis of the metaphors of the story of the
Wizard of Oz, are the complementary references to the social sciences integrated into
the Moral Science.Teleion Holon, Aristotle's concept of the dramatic process as a perfect
universe, is the name of our learning center dedicated to the scientific
study of the creative process as the integrative paradigm of the social
sciences, as a natural science phenomenon with a clear set of scientific
concepts and formulas; as a clinical syndrome modified by alternative ways
of resolving conflict, the four relational modalities; as the measuring rod
of behavior hence tapping creativity for self discovery, and as the abstract
moral paradigm reconciling religions as a continuum of institutions of
conflict resolution attributing moral order to external divine authorities.
Our mission at the new learning center is to promote awareness of this
process as the scientific moral paradigm, the unit of the social sciences.
While recognizing religions as the pioneers of conflict resolution, science
is now the expert moral authority on matters of optimal conflict resolution.
It is our conviction that the world needs awareness of this order, moral and
emotional literacy as the condition for its healing. This is the objective
of our efforts and educational programs out of the Teleion Holon.
Beyond metaphors and unto the scientific interpretation of the creative

The Museum's four 'art as evidence of science' exhibits illustrate and
demonstrate the unconscious as a natural science periodic phenomenon
consisting of a six part structure with a conflict resolution function. The
validation of this assumption, through the four exhibits, confirms that the
conflict resolution process, a natural science and moral order phenomenon is
the unit periodic phenomenon. Since it is abiding by the universal laws of
the rigorous sciences this unit order transforms behavior into the exact Moral Science.
The conflict resolution process acquires a natural science conceptual
language, the constructs and laws of the rigorous sciences.
The process represents new diagnostic categories, syndromes, the relational
modalities, quantifiable predictive alternative ways of resolving conflicts
that pertain to wellness but also modify pathology.
The conflict resolution process is measurable and modifiable. By tapping
creativity we can achieve self discovery.
The process yields the core moral values as independent of religious
moralities; they are the three science based formal operations unconsciously
resolving conflict.

Creativity and Power Management is a concise program of emotional and moral
education that has three segments targeting three objectives:
The cognitive or educational segment targets enlightenment:
This instruction consists in the guided tour of the four art exhibits of the
Museum of the Creative Process providing information on the scientific
nature of the unconscious creative process.
The experiential segment targets personal insights and transformation.
Experiential knowledge is achieved by completing the tests of the Conflict
Analysis Battery, a self assessment battery consisting of an inventory and
several metaphor generating exercises that lead to self discovery and self help.
The holistic segment targets developing optimal power management skills,
self discipline and use of creativity to consolidate a positive attitude.
These objectives are achieved by using holistic activities such as yoga,
taichi, meditation, guided fantasy, and sharing.
Below is a summary of the sculptural trail exhibit, 'art as evidence of

THE SCULPTURAL TRAIL as the history of paradigms
The trail retraces the historical progression of insights on the scientific
structure and the moral function of the unit conflict resolution process.
The progression is unfolding as five sculptural cycles shifting our focus
from art to the process, to the holistic perception of art pieces as
formally interrelated into the unit dramatic totality, the conflict
resolution process. The cycles make us aware sequentially of the totality as
a moral or spiritual process, as a set of formal operations, as a six part
dialectic structure, as its spiritual characteristics and its psychological relevance.
Cycle one, a fairy tale presents succinctly the unit entity as a conflict
resolution totality by juxtaposing the beginning of a conflict, the lady and
the dragons, to its predictable conflict resolution, a kiss and an embrace
as 'happily ever after'. The conflict is formally defined as a state of
passivity, antagonism and alienation; the resolution as mastery, cooperation
and mutual respect.Cycle two, the epics of the goddess, explains the unit of conflict
resolution as a cascade of moral and formal transformations, discoveries
confirming the moral direction of the plot of stories, making us conscious
of the unconscious as a dialectically evolving moral or conflict resolving
process. The cycle presents the transformations of the heroines of the
classic epics as a series of moral and formal restructurings of the family
relations. These are the six steps of the universal unit conflict resolution
process. The cycle starts with Mexico's mother Earth, a monster woman,
transformed into Greece's Helen of Troy, the fight and flight woman, a
Sphinx, and proud chaste Penelope, then India's cooperation commanding moon
goddess Kali. In Japan the woman is reduced to a subdued geisha, and in
Persia she expands into seductive Istar fighting with Gilgamish against his
commanding mutual respect. The cycle is concluded with Israel's father son
covenant, mutual respect between men, coinciding with the oppression of
women: Israel's broken Joy, Hagar, the woman as a beast of burden, Virgin
Mary, as an asexual angel and Naomi as the self sacrificing committed partner.
Cycle three the scriptures of the one god presents the six part structure of the unit
order as the dramatic plot of stories: stress, response, anxiety, defense,
reversal, compromise. The cycle is departing from the stress of matriarchal
women precipitating the father son covenant as a response; anxiety is
generated by the transgressive behavior of the kings and defense is in the
publication of the Bible while in exile in Babylon; the reversal is in the
revenge of women in the mother child alliance of the Messianic religions;
the cycle is concluded with compromise, the shift of paradigms from the
divisive content of stories to the unifying process, the plot of stories,
the Labyrinth as the unity of all stories.
Cycle four, abstract art is consisting of monuments mystifying the spiritual
universal harmonic of the perfect universe. The abstract sculptures have
Biblical names to allude to modern art having traditional spiritual meaning.
The spiral is identified as the icon of Unity, the unit process, God; the
seven-part massive structure of a creation is the Biblical Genesis, the
scale's set of three equilibrial sculptures are the Ten Commandments.
Finally cycle five, introduces the practical psychological relevance of the
scientific discovery for diagnostic, therapeutic and educational purposes.
It demonstrates how tapping creativity leads to insights, self discovery,
emotional and moral growth.
